FAQ

Getting the most out your smile often begins with a better understanding of your oral health and what to expect. The Phoenix dental team of Dr. Abedi and Dr. Ardalan, work to make your appointments convenient, comfortable and thorough. We invite you to consider some of the questions we often hear from our patients, and welcome you to contact the Desert Dental Solutions team to learn more.
Appointment times vary depending on procedures that will be performed. Most appointments typically run about an hour in length. More extensive appointments could last up to two hours. Extended appointments are booked in advance, and confirmed with the patient prior.
At the end of your initial appointment, our treatment plan coordinator will advise you of most fees associated with your recommended dental treatment. Your treatment breakdown will include patient co-payment amounts, if applicable, and estimated insurance coverage. Communication is key to a successful treatment plan. All questions and concerns will be answered during your treatment consultation with our dedicated, expert Phoenix dental team.
Regardless of how well you brush and floss at home, your teeth need to be professionally cleaned about every six months. Depending on your personal oral health, it may be recommended to come in more frequently for maintenance. The purpose of these appointments is to remove the plaque and tarter that build up on and between teeth despite good cleaning habits. In addition your teeth, gums, mouth, and throat and neck should be examined to check for oral cancer, facial structure and the condition of your temporomandibular joint. X-rays should be taken to get a better look at the structure of your teeth and mouth.
